4.50-5.0 RATING- I'm pretty stingy with my five star ratings. A book has to "hit" me just right or be absolutely amazing. Dream of me rated high because it pulled me in from the very beginning and never let go.

One of my favorite set ups in historical romances feature hero's that kidnap or force the heroine to marry, so this started off great for me. I liked both characters and thought the hero was fabulous. Is there anything sexier than a Viking? Not in my book. I loved him! Dangerous, protective, bossy. Check, check, check! The heroine could have gotten on my nerves because it seemed she was always going against everything the hero said but in her defense, she always had good reasons. I loved the development of the romance between the two characters. It read like a true love story. While not overly sexy the steamy bits were well done and appropriate for the story.

One area I wish the author would have developed more is the heroine's special "gift". While there was action in the story I thought another layer could have been added by adding in more about her capabilities and how she was affected. Also, while the heroine's beauty was important to note especially to explain why the hero made certain decisions I did get sick of hearing about it. Just a small gripe really.

I don't read a lot of historical romances but every once in a while am happy to read a good one. This one was better than good and hit all my sweet spots. When I finished, I couldn't help but compare the book overall to another favorite of mine, Maya Bank's Never Seduce a Scot. Overall, a great romantic story. My only disappointment is that the second and third books in the series haven't rated as high with my fellow readers. It seems a travesty to follow this book up with anything less than a stellar story.

I have had this book for ten years and I read it at least once a year. It was a spare of the moment buy because I found the cover to be really pretty (smh!) But by the second page I was hooked.

The two main characters in both books are wonderfully well suited for one another. In Dream of Me, I enjoyed Wolf's manliness and Cymbra's strength of character. The way Ms. Litton lulls you into a sense of security as both Wolf and Cymbra fall deeply into love...then she shatters it with Hawks brotherly concern...just plain genius.

In Believe in Me, I also found Hawk and Krysta to be exceptionally well written characters. I do think, however, that the ingenuity of disguise could have been a little bit more thought out...but it was still worth reading. The plot for both stories was very well organized and executed which is not something most authors are very good at and is almost unheard of in a new author.

If you liked Dream of Me/Believe in Me, you will adore Dragons book Come Back to Me; not only is his female love interest badass, but they are a perfect match.
Ok I am usually not a spender I like books cheap or free, but I was willing to take the chance after I finished the sample. This book had me from the very beginning when he abducts the heroine. She is wonderful, she has the ability to feel others pain, and even though that was weird I loved it. Then the hero Wolf, SIGH, he was dreamy.... So cruel seeming but very gentle, he falls in love with her... SPOILER... I almost died when he was in the shadows and watched her leave.... I cried and couldn't believe it... He was heart broke. Don't want to spoil more but will just say the day he comes to take her home and she is giving birth... I literally stopped breathing... Very good read

Then the second book which you get for free cause the first book was worth the $. Is about Hawk, which is the sister to Wolf's lady. Hawk is just as wonderful as Wolf and even though there are some mystical creatures it is still absolutely wonderful and I would not change a thing.

This was a great Viking romance! Dominant hero and a sassy heroine. However, I could not help but compare it to The Bride by Julie Garwood. There were so many similarities including the alpha male hero and a heroine who was initially unwilling to marry and had a gift for healing. They were both really good but I could not give this book 5 stars because I thought the Bride was done much better. I didn't even read Believe in me which is an interconnected standalone because of all the bad reviews.

So, I sat on my couch, watching the first snow of the year, eating a bowl of soup while reading about a Viking kidnapping a virgin. Perfect Friday night, right? I thought so.

Dream of Me reminded me so much of a Johanna Lindsey book in a good way. Not meaning to brag but I've read like every single one of Johanna's a hundred published books out there. Yeah...I'm cool. But anyway, I was super excited...because a medieval I haven't read before?

This was a "mine" growling hero. And I loved it. It's definitely not insta-love; insta-lust for sure, but their relationship developed really well, and I was just so happy for them to be happy. Idk, strange. While Johanna Lindsey's heroines are always planning ways to escape, and ways to piss off the hero, Cymbra didn't want to escape. And well, Wolf threatening to murder her brother kind of stopped any of those plans anyway. But while there wasn't any escape plans on the heroine's part, it was actually really refreshing that she understood her situation and that she couldn't get out of it, and that she was going to have to make the best of it. And come on, it wasn't that hard with Wolf sleeping in the same bed. She was still a strong heroine, and I enjoyed her maturity immensely.

This was a great book with a great plot, and two characters you'll love. A must read if you enjoy medieval romances.

Note This book contains two stories Dream of Me and Believe in Me. I've only read the former. Will update once I read the second.
